A multi-correlation timescape is like a photograph taken inside a forest.  The photographer is standing at the position of the performance being analyzed. The colours are images of trees which are close by (large splotches of colour), or far away (small splotches of colour). Black indicates that the performer tree is not particularly close to any other tree (but there could have been ones that died and have fallen to the ground).
